Society for Health Awareness and Research Endeavors (SHARE)
Improving the health outcomes of individuals around the world through research.
Our Mission
The Society for Health Awareness and Research Endeavors (SHARE) is an interdisciplinary organization that will conduct qualitative and quantitative inquiry to prevent or improve physical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension and mental illnesses by using research findings to improve education, practice, and policy in order to empower individuals by promoting culturally competent healthcare.
Our Purpose
SHARE was founded in 2020 to promote scientific inquiry and to use the findings of evidence-based research to influence education, practice, and policy, and to empower Haitians and other vulnerable individuals afflicted with non-communicable diseases to improve their health outcomes.
Research
One Step at a Time
The investigators at SHARE will use evidence-based research findings to arrive at solutions and innovations and change policy to empower individuals in communities that have struggled with access to affordable and effective healthcare to improve their health outcomes.
Education
Helping The Community
The findings from the studies conducted by SHARE will provide valuable data about novel ways to manage health and mental illness by incorporating elements of culturally competent healthcare to empower individuals from historically marginalized populations to become more active and proactive in their health journey.
Practice
Reinforcing our Commitment
The information learned from the studies conducted by SHARE may help providers in their practice. The data from this research may be helpful to multidisciplinary providers by informing evidence-based practice strategies that promote better health and mental well-being and lead to improved health outcomes.
